GWINNETT SENIORNET PC USER GROUP 225 Bethesda Church Road, in Bethesda Park, Lawrenceville, Georgia Telephone: 770-564-4699 The Gwinnett SeniorNet PC User Group (GSNPCUG) is sponsored by the Gwinnett SeniorNet Computer Learning Center (GSNLC) as a service to the community and to foster continued interest in the use of computers. Information on upcoming computer classes and the activities of the Learning Center can be found at that site. There will be a drawing for some very nice door prizes at each of our meetings. There is no charge to attend the PC User Group meetings.

There will be no July Program August Program The August User Group program on August 8, 2008 at 1 p.m. will be presented by our own volunteer Clay Coburn on Genealogy using Family Treemaker. This will be a brief overview of the course he will be teaching during our fall session at the George Pierce Park Satellite location. Clay has had extensive experience working with Genealogy and always presents an interesting and informative program. Clay provided the following description of his presentation--Trace your genealogy using the National and Georgia archives, Internet, CDs of family trees. Use the Family Tree Maker program to record all the family data. Discuss tools to use for gathering data and the Do's and Not to Do's of finding family information. An exciting course--have fun looking for a lost cousin! This will be the first time our PC User Group has met at the George Piece Park facility at 55 Buford Highway, Suwanee, Georgia 30024 (Telephone: 770-831-4173). This is a new facility with a beautiful Senior wing and this will be a wonderrful opportunity to see both the facility and our new computer learning center classroom. Registration at Bethesda will be on Tues. Sept. 9th from 9:30 to 12 witha "Late Registration" (space available) on Sept. 10th from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration at GPP will be on Sept. 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Since our Gwinnett SeniorNet Computer Group is a member of the Association of Computer User Groups (ACPUG) our User Group Members are entitled to buy this software at a discounted price through the User Group Store at a cost of $29 rather than the retail price of $50. This website also contains an informative tutorial on using this product as well as other information.
